Having got my first pair of trainers, I duly completed a 10k race, which felt like a marathon on the day. I have come a long way since and have made the transition from jogging 3 times a week to training 6 days a week. Ive done 5 half marathons, a National Cross country championship and a few 10k's (although I still have a lot of unfinished business with this distance). &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Im hoping to increase my training volume over the summer and run a very good time at the great north run. After this goals will change but the philosophy is the same, I am looking to get as fast as I can over 10k and half marathon before taking on the challenge that is the Marathon! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am about to embark on a new training schedule that will see me do a programme 17 weeks before the big day. It will cahnge focus as my goals change and document my training and races. I will also add photos whenever possible. Please feel free to write comments.
